Academic

Here’s a selection of my academic work, most of which was completed during my Master’s degree at UCL last year. I am particularly interested in literary theory, trans and queer theory, feminism, lyric poetry and twentieth century experimentalism.

Helen Frankenthaler: Summer Angel

The piece I am the most proud of is my Master’s Dissertation. I had a blast doing the research for and producing this paper during the summer of 2022, and was delighted when it secured my grade of a distinction. The paper really felt like the summation of all of my previous critical work:

“Sister, Alien”: The Transfeminist Poetics of We Want It All (2020) and a Model for a Materialist Transfeminist Lyric

I also include two further essays to give an additional flavour for my interests and writing style:

Modification, Idiosyncrasy and The Reader in the Poetry of Marianne Moore

and:

Names that Matter: A Transfeminist Reading of Names in Plato’s Cratylus
